The Jewellery Palace

My husband bought me an 11 carat ring for $7000 at the Jewelry Center in Grand Cayman while on a cruise. A month later it developed a serious crack inside. We had it evaluated by a local jeweler followed by an appraisal from the Gemological Laboratory of America in New York. Both agreed that the stone had been injected to give it more color. Needless to say within a short period of time the stone was worthless and I couldn't even wear it. Many of the jewelry stores in the islands use different names but many are owned by the same people. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Don't be taken like we were. Buy LOCAL from a REPUTABLE jeweler!!!

My mother bought a beautiful tanzanite ring there a few years ago and it has lost it's color. For the amount of money she spent, I feel this should not have happened.
